They say a picture tells a thousand words. Â Or should that be, a picture shows a thousand messes to be cleaned up? Â I think we have a speed reader on our hands, the rate these books hit the floor! Â But he is sweetness and light and cop the body language. Â Priceless.
And yes, my home does look like this on any given day, but just to keep it fun, the location varies. Â Jacinta x
I love how simple items around the house have many varied uses for children. Â That item at the moment is a plastic tub. Â Jairah uses it as his bath tub, but it also serves as a comfy place to read books or to play with trains. Â He thinks it’s wonderful if he gets pushed around in it too! Â The tub gets a good work out by the girls as well, and it can become quite the fought over wanted item in the playroom.
Of course he loves the car, but obviously that isn’t the safest place for him to play.
I love how my children find fun in simple ways that keep them entertained for long periods of time. Â What items do you find your children use to entertain themselves?

We have definitely made the most of the glorious autumn weather. Â We ventured off to a near by park to take in the glory that Autumn has to show off at the moment.
We explored, discovered and were fascinated by all of mother nature’s beauty.
We collected leaves, sticks and other autumn bounties and enjoyed the fact we didn’t have to get into the car to see it all.
Of course I can't get a photo of all three looking in one direction, but the light streaming through was amazing

Tenneille’s bedroom is in the throws of being renovated. Â The girls have been sharing a room, but we have decided they could do with their own room and help spread the mess have space to play. Â The floating floor is in progress, the walls and wardrobe are painted. Â I just need to get a block of time to sew curtains. Â I am still deciding if I want to do roman blinds or just the regular pleated curtains. Â I chose the fabric pictured below from Sweetwater’s Sunkissed secret garden range, printed by Moda. Â It is the lemonade colour way.
The yellow is actually a little lighter than depicted in photo.
It matches the feature wall we have painted beautifully.  I ordered the fabric from 1choice4quilting.  Their Sunkissed fabric is a good price and I needed to buy quite a lot.  Shipping price to Australia was very reasonable.  Shawna from 1choice4quilting threw in a few extras too.  I love the saying on the compact mirror/mini sewing kit.  It is definitely how I feel about housework!

Oh my sweet babes and autumn how I love thee. Â So many glorious colours in various shades of loveliness are dotting the landscape where ever I look. Â Our days have been mild, just right for being outdoors and enjoying the wind in our hair and the sun on our faces knowing all too soon Father Winter will be making our cheeks rosy and skies grey.
Greg had a work deadline to meet, so it was off to nana’s for the kids and I, so he could work at home without the white noise (we aren’t very quiet!).
We spent an afternoon with nana at the botanical gardens in Ballarat, picnicing, smelling roses, discovering Amanita mascaria aka fairy toadstools and exploring the beloved ‘fairy’ tree (a beautiful Redwood) that the girls look forward to visiting each time we go to the gardens.

Watching them running and playing amongst the gardens made my heart sing while it also ached to savour these moments, as I know I am going to turn around one autumn day and my babies will be grown. Â It’s the simple things that mean so much, the laughter, skipping, running in all directions and those smiles.
I am a mother in a daze, as I am hopelessly in love with my sweet babes. Â My heart is yours. Â Love mama x
