Yarn Along

Joining in with Ginny from Small Things.

I have put aside my Beyond Puerperium from last week to finish for Jairah at a later date.  I have cast on another in a smaller size.  It does seem to be a pattern that runs on the large side.  I know my gauge is right.  I am knitting the 0-3 month size and it looks closer to 6 months, which should be fine for my friend’s baby, as I am aiming for it to fit for the coming European winter.  I’m using Bendigo Woollen Mills luxury 8ply in Lake.  It’s a lovely grey/blue and buttery soft.

This is the closest to the actual colour of the yarn.

As for reading, I have dug out one of my Barbara Kingsolver books, Small Wonder.  I’m looking forward to reading it again.

Can’t wait to see what you have all be crafting this week.  Jacinta x

You always use the prettiest yarns Jacinta. I love Barbara Kingsolver, but haven’t read Small Wonder so I need to fix that! 🙂

Thank you for the heads up about the pattern sizing. I’ve seen so many of these little cardis being made.

That yarn is gorgeous! I told my hubby that he HAS to buy me yarn when he goes to Brisbane…he gave me a very indulgent “yes, honey.” Hmmm….not sure if I’ll get any yarn or not 🙂

That is one book of hers I have not read nor have I heard of it. Thanks for mentioning the title-I’ll add it to my every growing list!

I’ve been eyeing that pattern on Ravelry. It is one I’d like to make. Interesting that it runs big. I like the blue yarn you’re using – it looks very soft.
