{"id":97,"date":"2010-10-28T23:10:30","date_gmt":"2010-10-28T23:10:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.embracingitall.com\/?p=97"},"modified":"2010-10-28T23:10:30","modified_gmt":"2010-10-28T23:10:30","slug":"the-girls","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.embracingitall.com\/?p=97","title":{"rendered":"The girls"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Our chooks are affectionately known as &#8216;the girls&#8217;. \u00c2\u00a0They are so efficient in cleaning up scraps and eating bugs. \u00c2\u00a0They wait very impatiently every morning to be let out into the chook yard where they spend their days scratching for tasty morsels and enjoying the odd dustbath.<br \/>\nThey make for pretty funny entertainment, especially when they are all trying to scrap over an unfortunate bug who has wonderend into chook territory.<\/p>\n<p>So with no further ado, let me introduce Carrie, the Isa Brown, who is the oldest and wisest of all. \u00c2\u00a0She was one of our original three chickens who were named after the girls off the show Little House on the Prairie. \u00c2\u00a0This was due to the fact their original chook house resembled the house the Ingalls lived in.
