{"id":2200,"date":"2013-05-08T11:03:58","date_gmt":"2013-05-08T11:03:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.embracingitall.com\/?p=2200"},"modified":"2013-05-08T11:05:44","modified_gmt":"2013-05-08T11:05:44","slug":"getting-knitty-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.embracingitall.com\/?p=2200","title":{"rendered":"Getting Knitty"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It seems May triggers my inner knitter and I get itching to start new projects for the coming winter months. \u00c2\u00a0I finished a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.embracingitall.com\/?p=1912\">Sweet Memories Cowl<\/a> for a friend recently using leftover Zara Chin\u00c3\u00a9 yarn.\u00c2\u00a0 She lives overseas and her birthday was months ago. \u00c2\u00a0It took me forever to knit the last few rows, due to getting the house ready for market. \u00c2\u00a0Now we are playing the waiting-for-a-buyer game, knitting will hopefully help me keep the last remainder of my sanity!<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_2203\" style=\"width: 460px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.embracingitall.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/gettingknitty3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2203\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2203\" alt=\"gettingknitty3\" src=\"http:\/\/www.embracingitall.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/gettingknitty3.jpg\" width=\"450\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.embracingitall.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/gettingknitty3.jpg 450w, http:\/\/www.embracingitall.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/gettingknitty3-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-2203\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">6 months to knit, wonder how long it will take me to get it posted!?<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">I cast on another Sweet Memories Cowl, this time for myself. \u00c2\u00a0I was tossing up between knitting with some Noro Silk Garden Lite in green\/blue and brown shades or some mid grey Alpaca yarn I bought while we were away at Easter (something else I haven&#8217;t gotten around to blogging about!). \u00c2\u00a0I decided to go with the alpaca yarn. \u00c2\u00a0The yarn was purchased\u00c2\u00a0in Beechworth at The Ardent Alpaca (lovely shop and staff). \u00c2\u00a0It&#8217;s made in Australia by Tailored Strands and is 8ply. \u00c2\u00a0It has a lovely soft feel to it. \u00c2\u00a0I am determined to finish this one for my birthday, which of course is this coming Sunday!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.embracingitall.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/gettingknitty.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2201\" alt=\"gettingknitty\" src=\"http:\/\/www.embracingitall.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/gettingknitty.jpg\" width=\"450\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.embracingitall.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/gettingknitty.jpg 450w, http:\/\/www.embracingitall.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/gettingknitty-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I think I want to knit another <a href=\"http:\/\/www.embracingitall.com\/?p=1869\">Tea Leaves cardi<\/a> this winter too. \u00c2\u00a0I also love <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ravelry.com\/patterns\/library\/tilted-duster\">this<\/a> pattern. \u00c2\u00a0Jairah needs a new jumper\/sweater this winter too, not sure what though. \u00c2\u00a0Any suggestions for a boys pattern in size 4\/5 would be appreciated.<\/p>\n<p>Jacinta x<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It seems May triggers my inner knitter and I get itching to start new projects for the coming winter months. \u00c2\u00a0I finished a Sweet Memories Cowl for a friend recently using leftover Zara Chin\u00c3\u00a9 yarn.\u00c2\u00a0 She lives overseas and her &hellip;
