{"id":1703,"date":"2012-05-23T11:21:10","date_gmt":"2012-05-23T11:21:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.embracingitall.com\/?p=1703"},"modified":"2012-05-23T11:21:10","modified_gmt":"2012-05-23T11:21:10","slug":"yarn-along-24","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.embracingitall.com\/?p=1703","title":{"rendered":"Yarn Along"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Joining in with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gsheller.com\/2012\/05\/yarn-along-78.html\">Ginny<\/a> from Small Things for yarn along.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve been knitting Jairah&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ravelry.com\/projects\/Jacinta7t7\/aksel\">Aksel<\/a> vest this week. \u00c2\u00a0It is knitting up really quickly, thanks to using magic loop. \u00c2\u00a0I wrote a post earlier this week on how I feel so silly for not learning this method earlier. \u00c2\u00a0I didn&#8217;t have the required yarn size the pattern called for, so I have used different sized needles and following the size 2 pattern instructions, I&#8217;m hoping for a size 4 outcome. \u00c2\u00a0The pattern isn&#8217;t fantastically written . \u00c2\u00a0There are a few typos and some of the instructions are a little vague. \u00c2\u00a0May have to make a few etra notes on my Ravelry page once the vest is finished.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve knitted a lot more since I took the picture this morning, but the sun sets now about 5.30pm, so I didn&#8217;t bother taking another picture, as the lighting will be wrong.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.embracingitall.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/yarnalong23may.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1704\" title=\"yarnalong23may\" src=\"http:\/\/www.embracingitall.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/yarnalong23may.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.embracingitall.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/yarnalong23may.jpg 600w, http:\/\/www.embracingitall.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/yarnalong23may-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve finally ordered some\u00c2\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ravelry.com\/yarns\/library\/bendigo-woollen-mills-luxury-10-ply\">yarn<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0(Ruby colour) for my next project, Tea Leaves cardigan, fingers crossed it will arrive before the weekend, as I want to make a start.<\/p>\n<p>As for reading, I finished my kindle book, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Growing-Up-Country-Memories-ebook\/dp\/B0047GNDYI\/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1337771256&amp;sr=8-2\">Growing Up Country:<\/a> Memories of an Iowa Farm Girl, by Carol Bodensteiner. \u00c2\u00a0It was a lovely read and I could relate to a lot of things she wrote about. \u00c2\u00a0I can highly recommend it as a light, entertaining read.<\/p>\n<p>Looking forward to seeing all your lovely creations. \u00c2\u00a0Jacinta x<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Joining in with Ginny from Small Things for yarn along.
