{"id":1292,"date":"2011-11-05T11:50:58","date_gmt":"2011-11-05T11:50:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.embracingitall.com\/?p=1292"},"modified":"2011-11-05T11:52:13","modified_gmt":"2011-11-05T11:52:13","slug":"devonshire-tea-anyone","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.embracingitall.com\/?p=1292","title":{"rendered":"Devonshire Tea Anyone?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We finally had our rangehood properly installed yesterday. \u00c2\u00a0It only took <em>five<\/em> reschedules with the plumber due to all the rain we have been experiencing. \u00c2\u00a0But thankfully the rain cleared yesterday and today was no exception, in fact it was quite hot. \u00c2\u00a0Greg spent the day filling a skip bin with the old kitchen and I wrangled children in many different ways (see photo below)\u00c2\u00a0while potting up seeds for our vegie garden.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_1294\" style=\"width: 378px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.embracingitall.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/devonshiretea2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1294\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1294\" title=\"devonshiretea2\" src=\"http:\/\/www.embracingitall.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/devonshiretea2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"368\" height=\"429\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.embracingitall.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/devonshiretea2.jpg 368w, http:\/\/www.embracingitall.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/devonshiretea2-257x300.jpg 257w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 368px) 100vw, 368px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-1294\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">It was a hot day here, so Jairah parked himself in the tub right next to me while I potted seeds and Greg slaved away filling the skip bin with all the junk you can see in the background.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>When it came to afternoon tea, I decided to finally bake something in my new oven. \u00c2\u00a0It was a unanimous vote for scones. \u00c2\u00a0I am happy to say they were cooked to perfection. \u00c2\u00a0The scones were topped with homemade cherry and plum jam, with a dollop of fresh whipped organic cream that I scooped off the top of the milk this morning. \u00c2\u00a0The scones were washed down with a lovely hot cup of tea. \u00c2\u00a0I do believe my eyes rolled back into my head.
